The doctors at South County Eye Care have been providing eye exams and vision care services to Orange County since 1980. When you are a patient at South County Eye Care, you are family. You are not just a number. Our goal is quality clinical care in a professional, friendly, and comfortable setting. We provide general eye exams, contact lens evaluations, red eye evaluations, Lasik consulations, and maintain a large and modern optical dispensary. Contact our eye care clinic and Schedule an appointment today to find out how we can help.

Our services include:

  • Learn more about what problems can be spotted with an eye exam, what’s involved in a comprehensive exam, and special considerations for kids and contacts.
  • Taking care of your child's vision before school starts can make all the difference in getting the school year off to a great start!
  • Early identification of a child's vision problem is crucial.
  • Did you know your optometrist can help you with red eyes, pink eye, or sore eyes?  You don't have to go to your primary care physician for help with these issues.
  • With aging comes a greater need for comprehensive eye exams and for sophisticated, advanced treatment of many known ocular diseases.
  • From the occasional eyelash that gets in your eye to a piece of grit or even a metal shard, you may find yourself with something in your eye.
  • Including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Cataracts.
  • Most people with diabetes know that they are at a higher risk of many ocular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and cataracts. Yet more importantly, diabetics need to be aware that eye complications, loss of vision, and blindness are not inevitable!
  • A non-invasive medical imaging technique for mapping the surface curvature of the cornea, the outer structure of the eye.
  • Used to detect diseases such as diabetes and macular degeneration, it is critical to confirming the health of the retina, optic nerve and other retinal structures.
  • Dry eyes result from the chronic lack of lubrication and moisture on the surface of the eye, which can cause minor irritations, an inability to wear contact lenses and an increased risk of corneal inflammation and eye infections.
  • If you are looking to wear contact lenses but have always had problems with comfort or have been told you'll never be able to wear contact lenses because of an irregularly shaped cornea or other eye problem, it may be time to look into a type of contact lens known as a “scleral lens.”
  • If you're ready for an alternative to glasses and/or contacts, LASIK may be the right solution for you!
  • An Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan is a noninvasive, painless test that can help optometrists get a clear look at your retina.
  • Look to us for co-management of LASIK, cataract, and other ocular surgery.
  • Eye injuries range from the very minor such as getting soap in your eye, to something more serious like a laceration. We treat a wide variety of eye emergencies regularly.
  • Orthokeratology, or "ortho-k," is the process of reshaping the eye with specially-designed rigid gas permeable contact lenses. The goal of ortho-k is to flatten the front surface of the eye and thereby correct mild to moderate amounts of nearsightedness and astigmatism.
  • Orthokeratology, also known as ortho-k, is a special non-surgical vision correction procedure involving special gas permeable contact lenses that are worn each night while you sleep, to gently reshape your cornea and correct your vision.
  • Measures the quality of your side vision (peripheral vision). Usually involves covering one eye and focusing the other on a fixed point in front of you, while describing what you can see on the “periphery” of your vision.
  • Glaucoma testing involves measuring internal eye pressure and a detailed scan of the retina for signs of disease.
  • Winter break is in a few weeks and, with college students finding their way home for the holidays, it is a good time for parents to check in and make sure their independent kids are taking care of themselves properly.
