Dr. Michaels graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at San Diego and went on the earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. During his clinical training, he received the California Optometric Council Achievement Scholarship and the Dr. George Deane, Jr. Memorial Leadership Scholarship. Dr. Michaels is a member of the California and American Optometric Association and the South Orange County Regional Chambers of Commerce. He has clinical experience at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas, the Barnet Dulaney Eye Center in Arizona, and the Indian Health Service within the Navajo Nation of Arizona. He is currently married with 2 young children and has a second branch eyecare office called, Eye Care For You Optometry, run by his wife, Dr. Josephine Vu.
Dr. Vu graduated with a double major in biology and psychology from the University of California Irvine. Following her graduation from the Southern California College of Optometry she completed an additional residency studying Ocular Disease at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. She was a classmate of Dr. Michaels and they married in June of 2006. In November of 2007 she and Dr. Michaels welcomed the birth of their first child, Jacob. Dr. Vu is an astute clinician and concurrently is involved in ophthalmic research with Irvine based Acufocus, Inc. She has a passion for patient care and brings to the practice unsurpassed knowledge in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Lucy DeMoss, O.D. graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. She received her doctorate degree in optometry (O.D.) from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1988. She graduated with honors from both institutions. She has been in family practice since 1988. Her interest in dsylexia and vision therapy while performing research as a fourth year optometry student helped to develop her interest in pediatric optometry. She enjoys working with kids of all ages. She is member of both the California and American Optometric Associations.
Dr. Kidder earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California at Irvine and went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated with honors. He has served as Senior Examiner for The National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a member of the Orange County Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. In addition, he is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Slosar earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA and his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry where he received the prestigious Fairfield Optical Award. In addition to his practice, he has given scientific presentations at numerous professional meetings and has been involved in investigational studies for Bausch & Lomb, Allergan, Sola/Syntex, and Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Slosar is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He is very active in his community and has served for a number of years on the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Dr. Slosar relocated to Texas in 2007 and occasionally comes to CA and will still see patients by appointment only. To find out when Dr. Slosar might be back in Orange County please contact Debbie at our office.
